Our History

Prince of Peace Catholic School opened its doors in the year 2000. Seven years later we celebrated our first 8th grade graduating class of 13 students, most of whom went on to graduate from John Carroll Catholic High School. Building campaigns throughout the early 2000s led to projects that included the current main school building with gymnasium, kitchen, library, playgrounds, and many classrooms with varying layouts for flexible teaching and dynamic learning to take place. Each year, Prince of Peace added one grade level until the 2006-2007 school year when all grades, preschool through 8th, were open. In 2015, a separate middle school building with its own entrance was constructed, allowing continued growth of our middle school program. The Day Chapel, whose open doors greet every middle schooler as they enter the building, was added in 2018.

In 2020 Prince of Peace celebrated its 20th anniversary. In those 20 years and under the care of Pastor John Fallon, the school has grown to be the largest Catholic school in the Diocese of Birmingham. Today, we serve more than 475 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
